I tend to be a fairly quiet person!
I'm always down for conversation, but feel free to bring something to keep yourself busy if quiet tattooers aren't your vibe 🌸
Take care of your skin! I will not tattoo over sunburns or broken skin
Avoid blood-thinners within 24 hours
This includes alcohol, caffeine, aspirin, ibuprofen, etc!
Dress appropriately!
Bring layers to stay warm or cool off & clothing that allows access to the area getting tattooed.
Be sure to get plenty of rest the night before, hydrate, and have a meal prior to your appointment!
We have complimentary snacks and drinks at the shop, but you're welcome to bring your own!
RECOVERY DERMSHIELD / SECONDSKIN
1. Leave the bandage on for 3-5 days
2. Carefully remove bandage in the shower or under warm running water
3. Gently wash the tattoo twice per day with lukewarm water and antibacterial soap (Dial is recommended)
4. Apply a small amount of unscented lotion after washing and whenever the skin feels tight or dry
IMPORTANT: If the secondskin starts to fall off & expose the tattoo or if it starts leaking before day 3, remove it and switch to dry healing (outlined below)
DRY HEALING / PLASTIC WRAP
1. Leave wrap on for 1.5 hours, then remove
2. Gently wash the tattoo 2-3 times per day with lukewarm water and antibacterial soap (Dial is recommended)
3. Let the tattoo air dry completely, then apply a small amount of Aquaphor (or preferred tattoo ointment) after washing
5. Once the tattoo starts to get itchy, switch to unscented lotion instead of Aquaphor
Recovery Dermshield / secondskin is waterproof! Showering with it on is perfectly fine, but no soaking or swimming
You may notice liquid buildup underneath the secondskin bandages! It's totally normal - it's just excess blood, ink, and plasma
As long as it's not leaking, it can be left alone
Do not scratch or pick at your healing tattoo!!!
Once the surface skin of the tattoo is healed, the skin may appear shiny or dull
This is normal and will go away as the deeper layers of the skin heal
Mild bruising, redness, and warmth can be expected in the first few days after getting a tattoo
If you experience any of the following, please contact me immediately:

I'll try my best to rectify the situation and help fix the problem however I can
